‘Suits for Success’ donation drive underway in La Crosse

Students collecting professional clothing ahead of distribution in late March

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – As the old saying goes, “dress for the job you want.”

Some local students are making sure people in our area can do just that.

A donation collection is now underway for the ‘Suits for Success’ campaign.

Donations of professional clothing are being accepted.

Students and community members will can get the donations.

The annual campaign is an effort of Business Management Students at Western Technical College.

One student organizer says they know how much looking the part can help someone looking for a job.

“How you present yourself at an interview for a job is very important. And the professional clothing can get expensive. A lot of people can’t afford it,” said Suits for Success drive member Ben Chavalas.

Donations are being accepted at:

Altra Federal Credit Union
1807 E Main Street, Onalaska

Associated Bank
201 Marcou Rd, Onalaska
205 4th St., La Crosse

Firefighters Credit Union
525 5th Ave S, La Crosse

Plus, there will be a drive though donation event at Western Technical College on March 12th.

The clothing distribution will be March 26th.
