Suited for Success helps college graduates with first impressions

Clothing drive provides suits, dress shirts, more for interviews

During your first job interview out of college a first impression can be the deciding factor for future employers.

To make the process easier business students at Western Technical College are holding a professional clothing drive.

It’s called Suited for Success and its purpose is to help students get more of a professional wardrobe before entering their career. The goal is to give students the best opportunity possible to land a job after school.

“The first impression is kind of the thing that you need to be prepared for you need to come in there well-dressed present yourself well, coming in in rags not going to help you get the job at all,” said the Suited for Success Coordinator Casie Fry.

The professional clothing drive is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 23 and 25 at the Lunda Center on the Western Campus. They’re looking for men’s and women’s suits, dress shirts, slacks, and briefcases.
