Study: Rate of US students studying abroad slowing
Big gain of international students enrolled in US
BOSTON — While the rate of American students studying abroad is slowing, more foreign students are studying in the U.S., according to an Associated Press report citing a new study.
The Institute of International Education released data that reveals international students in the U.S. grew by 10 percent since last year.
That’s the biggest year-to-year gain in more than 30 years.
Meanwhile, the growth of the number of American students attending school overseas is decreasing. U.S. students studying abroad grew by only five percent the past year.
