Students start school year in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Students are heading back to school in many area districts.
All of the public schools within the city began Tuesday in La Crosse, including Logan Middle School on the city’s north side.
Congressman Ron Kind and La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat welcomed students to the school year, along community members and Logan high school football players.
For La Crosse School Superintendent Randy Nelson, it isn’t hard to be excited for a day like this.
“For us, it’s a tradition in the central office to really try in one day to get to every single building, greet every single principal and make sure we’re off to a good start,” said Randy Nelson, La Crosse Schools Superintendent.
The school district has about 7,000 students.
