Students raise funds for a new piano

Students at a local middle school worked to do some fundraising for their school.

Sixth graders from Crucifixion School raised almost $18,000 as part of a service project. The funds will go towards purchasing a new piano for the church attached to the school.

While the process wasn’t easy, staff at the school say the students worked hard to meet their goal.

“You know, but they stayed with it and they were always kind of informing everybody on where they were and how much it was and all that they had been raised, getting the thank you notes to anyone who had, you know, given money and different things,” said Reverend Greg Havel.

Extra money raised will go towards repairing the roof of the school.
