Students in one Sand Lake Elementary classroom switch to virtual after COVID-19 positive
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — Students in a particular classroom at Sand Lake Elementary School are switching to virtual learning through Nov. 19 because of a positive COVID-19 case in the classroom, according to a statement from the Holmen School District.
Because of that report, the statement said, “The trigger of our 20% threshold of students absent from a class due to COVID-19, other illness, and/or close contact quarantine has been met for this specific classroom.”
The statement, which did not identify the classroom involved, said the students will be able to return to the school for in-person instruction on Nov. 10.
The district has contacted all individuals considered a close contact within the school, according to the statement.
