Students help renovate park in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — One of La Crosse’s parks is receiving some upgrades with the help of one local school.
Students from La Crosse’s School of Technology and Arts II are helping complete the skate park and new bicycle playground at Leuth Park.
Students and staff are working on painting, landscaping, and other repairs, as well as testing out the new facilities.
Students say they are excited to make an impact on their community.
“I love painting and it’s nice to get a different feel on a different surface because usually we are just painting on a canvas but this is like a huge canvas and it’s kind of fun to help the community also,” said Kaitlyn Erickson, Student at SOTA II.
The park was made possible through a partnership with the Outdoor Recreation Alliance and the city to develop more recreation opportunities in the region.
