Stretch of Sand Lake Road to close starting Monday for construction

The City of Onlaska's 2020 Pavement project will begin Monday

ONALASKA, Wis (WKBT) – A drive through Onalaska this week may take a little bit longer. The City of Onalaska’s 2020 Pavement project will begin Monday.

Mill and overlay work will close down Sand Lake Rd. between Redwood St. and Riders Club Rd.

As a part of the road work, the ramps at US Highway 53 and Sand Lake Rd. interchange will also be closed.

The road work is expected to be finished and the road reopened by the end of the day on Thursday.

The City of Onalaska suggests that drivers use the alternate route of Riders Club Rd to State Highway 35 to Quincy street during the construction.
