Stores in La Crosse gear up ahead of ‘Super Saturday’
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — We are less than a week from Christmas and this weekend a lot of shoppers are expected to hit the stores.
Nationwide sales are expected to be about $34 billion on what is being dubbed ‘Super Saturday’.
And many retail analysts estimate a surge in last minute gift-buying will make ‘Super Saturday’ the biggest shopping day this year.
Stores at Valley View Mall are doing a lot to draw shoppers in.
“Just between inventory levels, extending the mall hours and the retailers providing discounted pricing, it’s just a great time to get that last minute shopping done,” said Valley View Mall General Manager Jeff Odom.
Nearly $150 million shoppers are expected to make a purchase tomorrow, up from $134 million last year, according to the National Retail Federation.
