Steppin’ Out in Pink celebrates another successful year
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — This year’s Steppin’ Out in Pink event was another big success.
Event organizers estimate about 6000 people took part in the walk, including 420 breast cancer survivors. Organizers are currently calculating the total amount of money raised.
All proceeds help fund breast cancer research in our area.
Steppin’ Out in Pink’s Special Events Manager says the importance of this community event goes beyond numbers.
“Steppin’ Out in Pink isn’t a walk. It’s an experience. There’s so much going on. At every turn you have entertainment. You have cheerleaders cheering you on,” said Debbie Kroner.
She added that the weather cooperated making it a great day for all who came.
