State senator Testin spends day on job in Tomah
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — A Wisconsin senator is taking a new job, just for one day.
Senator Patrick Testin of Stevens Point worked at the Toro manufacturing plant in Tomah.
He serves in the 24th district which reaches from Sparta to Stevens Point in central Wisconsin.
The visit comes as part of Senator Testin’s monthly On the Job series.
Testin hopes the tour can help him to learn about how businesses are impacted by decisions made in Madison.
“We have been so fortunate in the state over the last few years that manufacturing as really seen a major comeback. We’re one of the leaders in manufacturing in the midwest and around the country, and so its important to highlight manufacturing, just what an important piece of the economy that plays in Wisconsin,” said Wisconsin State Senator Patrick Testin.
Testin started his On the Job tour in February of 2017.
