State Rep. Nerison visits Stoddard students after reading essay

STODDARD, Wis. (WKBT) — A state representative from our area stopped in Stoddard today to talk to students.
Republican Representative Lee Nerison from Westby talked to students in grades three through eight about his job in the government.
Nerison offered to stop by the school after reading an essay on abortion Stoddard students wrote and sent to the representative’s office.
Nerison says school visits are some of the better events he gets to attend as a representative.
“They were asking a lot of questions and in a small group of classes like this, third grade to eighth grade, they had a lot of variation on their questions. It’s fun coming and talking to them, and this is the good part of the job,” said Representative Nerison.
School staff sent the essay to other Republican representatives as well, including President Trump.
