State officials visit Westby for “Wisconsin Cheese Day”
WESTBY, Wis. (WKBT) — The state is celebrating what is arguably the most Wisconsin holiday there is: Cheese Day.
On Monday, industry officials celebrated “Wisconsin Cheese Day” by visiting 13 cheese producers across the state, one of them in Westby.
They are thanking cheese producers for their contributions to the state’s economy and dairy industry.
Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch made a stop at Nordic Creamery, which has won an award almost every year they’ve entered in the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest.
Wisconsin Senator Jennifer Shilling also visited Nordic Creamery.
