State Launch of Wisconsin’s Clean Energy Toolkit
Communities across Wisconsin are looking to develop clean energy plans to do their part against global warming, and La Crosse is getting in on the action as well.
The Wisconsin Clean Energy Toolkit will launch statewide today, with La Crosse, Madison, Eau Claire, Green Bay, and Milwaukee all participating. The Toolkit is a comprehensive guide to energy policy options in the state, and is designed to help communities of any size achieve their goal of going green.
The launch event starts at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall, at 400 La Crosse Street. Mayor Kabat will address the public about the benefits this guide will offer, and Amy Dummer of Citizen Action of Wisconsin will also be on hand to explain opportunities for both private citizens and businesses to go green and switch to renewable energy. Even if you don’t live in La Crosse, the toolkit is being launched statewide, so all towns, villages, cities, and counties will be able to take advantage of the Clean Energy Toolkit.
