Stamp Out Food Drive coming soon in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — An upcoming food drive is hoping to stamp out hunger in our community.
The annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive is May 11th across the U.S., including right here in La Crosse.
People are asked to donate non-perishable food that is collected by postal workers.
In past years, postal customers have been provided with a plastic bag to use to donate their food.
While the bag won’t be in your mail box this year due to the loss of a statewide sponsor ship, any bag will work just fine.
“This is a really good time of year to help our community out and we’re hoping that we still have the people and the donations we need to make this successful,” said Becca Rude, Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.
Donated food is given to area food pantries.
