Prairie du Chien returns to summer state for 2nd straight year

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI - Prairie du Chien is no stranger to the summer state tournament.  The team is making their second straight appearance at the summer state tournament, placing third last year.

Will a state title won't be easy.  Prairie du Chien will have to win 5 games in a row.  But the roster is ready for the challenge.

"I think we need to keep doing what we are doing. Keep staying together as a team. Keep hitting the ball. Everybody's hitting the ball right now. Our pitching has been great. Keep pitching the ball well, hitting the ball well," Gavin Greene said.

"I think we will go far. You know we just have to focus on staying together as a team and keep the bats hot and keep playing good defense behind our pitching performances, that will be it," Peyton Hall said.

Prairie du Chien will play Little Chute in Clintonville on Wednesday at 3:30pm.
