LA CROSSE, Wis - The Coulee Region Chill begin their NAHL playoff run Friday. And their first round opponent is a team they are very familiar with.
The Chill and Midwest Division champs Janesville played each other 12 times during the regular season. The Jets won the season series 7-5.
"You know Janesville has a lot of talent. They are an older club, they have a lot of veteran players like ourselves," Head Coach Ryan Egan said. "I think it's going to be a very intriguing series and we look forward to the challenge."
"We need to limit them to their odd man rushes because they will score if they do get a lot of them," Forward Bailey Martin said. "They are a big team that is really physical. So, being able to chip pucks and getting odd man rushes is big for us."
"Minimizing the mistakes out there. If we keep playing our game, keep playing hard," Forward Justin Kendall said. "They are a fast and skilled team. Just play hard and minimize the mistakes we will be good."
