Caledonia falls to Minnehaha Academy in MSHSL girls basketball championship game

MINNEAPOLIS - Playing in the program's third ever state championship game, the Caledonia Warriors fell to Minnehaha Academy 72-63 Saturday afternoon at Williams Arena.

Ashley Schroeder led Caledonia in scoring with 21 points. Katie Tornstrom finished with 19 and Kaitlin Conniff chipped in 16. Redhawks' Taytum Rhoades led all scorers with 29 points.

The Warriors finish the season with a record of 26-5 along with the 2019 MSHSL Class AA state runner-up trophy. Caledonia in it's other state championship game appearances won in 2009 and lost in 1998.
