Sports Spotlight 5-26: Tucker Needham
Wonewoc-Center senior Tucker Needham is the latest athlete in our Sports Spotlight.
Tucker played golf and basketball for the Wolves in high school, all while battling Cystic Fibrosis. He has spent a great deal of his life in the hospital because of it, and with the threat of the coronavirus, there is a very real danger for him to even leave the house.
But Tucker has always proved to family and teammates that he’s resilient. In his senior basketball season he was one of the top guys on the team, averaging 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists a game. And though he didn’t get his senior golf season, he did qualify for sectionals as an individual in both his sophomore and junior years. And Tucker’s not done on the links. He’ll be attending Clarke College in Dubuque to play golf and major in accounting.
