Sports Spotlight 5-23: Brianna Truog

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)–We continue our Sports Spotlight segment, honoring those seniors unable to play their final season of competition.

As a reminder, you get to decide who gets put in the sports spotlight by sending in your nominations.

If you’re looking for your nomination on air, don’t worry. We will contact everyone personally to let them know when their nominee is set to air.

With all that in mind, today’s nomination comes from Independence.

Brianna Truog has been described as a sports enthusiast ever since she could walk, and her body of work shows.

She is a 12 time letter winner in volleyball, softball, and basketball.

In softball, Brianna dominated on the mound as well as at the plate. She led the Indees in hits her sophomore and junior year, and in that junior year she threw a no-hitter.

That earned her a spot on the Wisconsin Fastpich Coaches Association All Star Team, that is one of her many honors in her athletic career.
