Sparta’s Meadowview school helping the homeless

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – Students in Sparta are giving to help others this holiday season.

The kids at Meadowview Middle School collected items for Sojourner’s Journey, an organization helping homeless people in the community.

Donations were collected at the school Monday morning.

It helped lessons leap off the page.

“In the last couple years, they haven’t been able to really get involved in things, with the pandemic. So it was a great way to get them back in the community and working towards something,” said Azjja Kjos, a sixth-grade teacher at Sparta Meadowview Middle School.

The organization is still donations from community members.
