Sparta’s Butterfest wraps up with annual parade

The annual celebration takes place in early June each year.

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – Sparta is putting community pride on display during the final day of the 38th Butterfest celebrations.

The day was highlighted by the annual parade, featuring floats and marching bands.

Local groups even collected food donations during the parade to help others.

It’s a tradition that continues to bring smiles to the community.

“I think it just gives the community an opportunity to get out and see their neighbors and friends and be able to just enjoy what Sparta has to offer,” said Sparta city council member Matthew Hoffland.

The annual celebration takes place in early June each year.
