Sparta schools end bus contract one year early

SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT)- The School District of Sparta announced Wednesday that it will be switching to all virtual classes starting Monday.

In a message to parents, district leaders said information from the Monroe Co. Health department puts the county in the “red” level which means all district buildings will be closed to the public and all schools will move to the 100% virtual learning model from¬†Monday, September 28 through Sunday, October 4.

Monroe Co. added 24 new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the county’s total to 443. 331 of those cases are recovered, 2 are hospitalized, and there have been 2 deaths in the county.
