Sparta Chamber announces summer concert series
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) — The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Concerts in the Park will feature a mix of returning favorites and popular groups from the region, it announced Wednesday.
The free concerts begin May 26 and will run every Wednesday at the Kiwanis Bandshell at Evans-Bosshard Park through Aug. 25.
Performers will include Dirt River, Old Soul Society, Home Grown Tomatoes, Flibbertijibbet, Surf Zombies, TUGG, Carlos Danger, Honey and Rust and the Craig Olson Project. The New Piano Guys will host a dueling piano event Aug. 4 and the Pat Watters Band will come back for Military Appreciation Night Aug. 25.
Concerts run 7-9 p.m. and concert-goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Concerts may be canceled due to the weather. Updates can be found on the Chamber Facebook page.
The Chamber is excited for the return of our not-for-profit concessionaires that will include the Good Citizens, the Boys and Girls Club, the Deke Slayton Museum, Aptiv, Rotary, the Holiday Lights Group, and Kiwanis. The Miss Sparta Pageant ladies along with Butterfest Royalty will provide the concert dinner on June 9 with Old Soul Society.
