Soup-A-Thon raises money for Children’s Miracle Network
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Local employees in La Crosse got to enjoy a warm bowl soup today while helping a good cause.
Businesses inside the Riverside Center put on their annual Soup-A-Thon Wednesday at the Weber Center. The annual fundraiser helps support the Children’s Miracle network.
More than 4000 employees stopped in over the lunch hour for a bowl of soup.
Over the years the event has grown, raising more than $110,000 dollars for the cause.
“Giving to groups like CMN is always increased when it’s very easy to make a contribution and especially when you’re looking for lunch during the day. It is an easy way to support a really great cause here in our community,” said John Brevik, manager of marketing services for LHI.
This is the 13th year of the Soup-A-Thon. Organizers hope to raise more than $15,000.
