Small community enjoys a day of Christmas in the park
HOKAH, Minn. (WKBT) — Sunday was a beautiful day to get out and enjoy holiday activities.
People in Hokah got together for Christmas in the Park.
The event included horse buggy rides, hot chocolate, and lots of cookies.
Santa and Mrs. Claus also stopped over to enjoy the festivities.
One organizer says it’s a great community event.
“It really brings the community together. For kids in the area, it gets them out of the house and here playing. They get to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, and it also brings in some food for our food pantry here locally. It’s a pretty tight-knit community here so it’s really nice when we can all get together and share some time together,” Jaimie Basina, Hokah Forever member, said.
Donations of non-perishable food items and winter clothing were collected for the local food pantry.
This is the second year the event has been held.
