Slippery Spots Possible Tonight

We are watching a weak disturbance that will cross the area tonight. It will bring a period of light snow this evening. Amounts should remain very light. Patchy freezing drizzle and fog will also be possible later tonight, with the highest chances across areas along and north of I-94. It appears the freezing drizzle will be patchy and light enough to keep impacts to travel very low. However, use caution if driving tonight as you may encounter slippery spots and stretches on area roads.

Looking Ahead… Colder air will build in for the weekend, but conditions are looking dry. I’m expecting mostly cloudy skies for Saturday, highs will be in the low 20s early in the day before dropping into the teens. Winds will also be a bit breezy out of the northwest tomorrow, so expect temperatures to *feel* colder.

The cold air will really settle in for Sunday. I am expecting some sunshine to return, but high temps will only be in the lower to middle teens.

These colder than average temperatures will be with us for next week and heading into next weekend. However, a very quiet pattern is setting up, so precipitation chances are slim through much of next week.
