Signups underway for UW-La Crosse summer day camps

Registration is open for hands on learning activities this summer at UW-La Crosse.

Students will be able to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM as well as arts and cooking.

Courses are offered for kids betweeen 4th and 10th grade.

Scholarships which cover up to 85 percent of registration fees are available.

Financial need will determine the scholarship amounts.

The hope is to keep kids learning beyond the school year.

“A lot of the students kind of lose their interest in science around that time, and so our science camps are focused on kind of keeping that interest in science and showing them that it is fun,” said Milandrie Wakim, Program Manager of Continuing Education at UW-La Crosse.

The deadline to apply for programs is April 30th.
