Show choirs from across the Midwest compete in Onalaska

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) Students are hitting all the right notes this weekend.

Show choirs from across the Midwest are at Onalaska High School for its annual show choir classic.

Teams are judged for their singing and dance performances…each competing for the grand championship.

But one choir director says the event is about more than the competition.

“This is a great event that brings the students together. There’s a lot of camaraderie and friendship. It’s a friendly rivalry, but ultimately we all know what everybody has to do to be good. They put a lot of work in, so students respect other groups who work very hard,” said Onalaska Choir Director, Richard Moses.

The top six groups are competing in the evening finals tonight.
