La Crosse business stays afloat after starting in midst of pandemic
Shop Small Saturdays and Sundays will continue throughout the holidays
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – A La Crosse business that started right before the pandemic is still going strong through the holiday season. La Crosse Vintage opened about a month before the shutdowns occurred across the country.
Despite the immediate setback, community support for older, vintage clothing has helped to keep this business afloat. Shopping locally helps small business owners survive while also finding some great deals.
“Buy second hand as much as you can I guess. I feel like there’s no need to go and buy brand new stuff all the time when there’s plenty of stuff sitting around at thrift stores or garage sales,” said Mitchell Hammes, the owner of La Crosse Vintage.
