Shenanigans hosts foster families for annual holiday celebration

Throughout the year, ‘Shenanigans’ collects unused tickets from their guests so some families can have an extra special holiday party.

Foster families in La Crosse County were invited to the annual celebration Sunday night. The event included three hours of unlimited games, soda and slices of pizza.

Not only does it give the kids a chance to run around and play games, it also gives the families the opportunity to connect with others involved in the foster care system.

“Yes, we might be a 100 plus strong foster licensed families, but do we know them all? No. Do we know all the kids? No. When you come down to it, it’s a small world. It’s an opportunity to meet and greet different people,” said Bill Robbins, La Crosse county foster champion.

The event was provided to the families completely free of cost.
