Bike group raises awareness for sharing the roads with motorcycles

CENTERVILLE, Wis (WKBT) – When you’re driving around, it’s important to remember to share the road with those not in an actual car.
A bike rally for motorcyclists was held Saturday to help bring awareness to this issue.
ABATE is a group that lobbies for motorcycle awareness and motorcycle rights.
They also go into schools to help inform kids learning to drive, the importance of sharing the road.
The group works to give motorcyclists in the state a united voice when championing rights for bikers.
“It’s important for all motorcyclists, whether you’re a weekend rider, or you ride every day of the week, either look into ABATE or some type of an organization that going to protect your rights,” said Bill Roberge, the Regional Representative for ABATE.
With new advents like driver-less cars, there is some concern that programmers are not factoring in motorcyclists, which could prove deadly.
