Seeds of Hope Campaign is underway

The campaign will help sponsor the Kane Street Community Garden

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – One of La Crosse’s community gardens is raising funds to help grow their outreach,

The Hunger Task Force is beginning their annual Festival Foods Seeds of Hope Campaign tomorrow.

The campaign will help sponsor the Kane Street Community Garden.

Funds raised will go to purchasing seeds, bedding plants, fertilizer, and to support the new A-D-A accessible garden area, which will open in 2021.

Contributions can be made at any Festival Foods location and you can donate at the registers.

The campaign will also help keep local produce available to the community.

“Having a local area we can go to like the community garden helps maintain fresh produce. So everybody’s getting that fresh produce that they need, versus having it come from California or Texas,” said Nicole Bahr, the Assistant Guest Services Manager at the Copeland Festival Foods.
