Second phase of Grandad Bluff trail opens in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The second phase of trails in Grandad Bluff Park opened Tuesday, according to the Outdoor Recreation Alliance and La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department.

Users can access the newly-opened trails on Ebner Coulee Road through a series of natural rock staircases or via the 29th Street access point, which is both bike and foot-traffic friendly.

Users should know that there is a construction site in the center of the bluff and those areas should be avoided. Users are asked to use caution on the new trails and turn back if the tread is damp enough to leave tracks.

The last phase of the completed trails will be open early next month.
