Scrap metal collection set for La Crosse’s city hall

Drop off is open to only city of La Crosse residents

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – City of La Crosse residents can get rid of scrap metal during a collection event Saturday.

The free drop off in La Crosse’s City Hall parking lot is only open for city residents.

Starting at 9 a.m., the city will accept household items like most appliances, along with bed frames and most car parts and many electronics.

But, the city will not accept refrigerators and freezers, TVs, tires and hazardous chemicals.

The drop off runs until one in the afternoon.
