Scattered T-Showers This Evening… Dry Overnight -Bill Graul
Small Chances For Showers Wednesday & Thursday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 65F / Wednesday’s Forecast High: 87F…
A cool front is tracking southeast across the region this evening, causing a few scattered showers and t-storms. Some of the storms were strong to severe earlier this afternoon, producing funnel clouds in portions of Crawford County. Also, more heavy rain fell in some areas… including 4″ to 6″+ in a small portion of Allamakee & Crawford counties. This caused more flash flooding in those areas, as they also saw heavy rain this past weekend.
The scattered showers and storms will quickly fade around sunset or shortly after, with partly cloudy skies overnight. It will also be a bit muggy, with lows mainly in the 60s in most areas.
Partly cloudy and warm Wednesday with just a small chance for an isolated shower during the afternoon hours. Highs will be well into the 80s. Slight chance of showers and t-storms Thursday, mainly during the afternoon/early evening hours. Highs Thursday will be in the low-mid 80s.
Looking Ahead… Good news as forecast models are coming into better agreement in keeping the region mainly dry Friday, Saturday and for the 4th of July Sunday. It’s also looking rather toasty and humid for the holiday weekend, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
At least a slight chance for scattered showers and storms returns to the forecast to start next week. Still very warm and humid Monday and Tuesday, then mid 80s for highs by the middle of the week.
Have a good Tuesday night! -Bill Graul
