Scattered Showers & A Few T-Storms Overnight -Bill Graul

Periodic Showers Thursday and Friday

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 61F / Thursday’s Forecast High: 68F…

The showers scattered about the region today were quite light… and once again La Crosse missed out on any rain. It’s been a different story in the Eau Claire area, where almost .70″ of rain has fallen so far this week. The reason is a frontal boundary has been wavering right near the I-94 corridor… and it’s been the focus for shower and t-storm development.

Rain chances will finally increase region-wide later tonight, with the best chance for La Crosse to see some rain coming around 11 p.m. or midnight… and thereafter. There could be some isolated t-storms in spots overnight as well. Otherwise, expect another very mild night with lows in the 50s to around 60F.

2020 Evening 8 To 8

Wednesday Night Forecast

Slow-moving low pressure will bring periodic showers on Thursday, perhaps an isolated t-storm in spots… but it’s not going to rain all day by any stretch. Temps will cool a little, with highs in the mid-upper 60s. That low will continue to spin across the region Friday, with more scattered showers. Temps will continue to drop with highs in the upper 50s, but that’s just closer to average.

Possible Rainfall Through Friday Evening

Looking Ahead… Just isolated showers or sprinkles possible in spots on Saturday as the low finally spins off to the east/northeast. Temps on Saturday will be seasonable, with highs in the mid 50s. More clouds than sun Sunday, but it’s looking dry with highs back in the upper 50s to low 60s.

8 Day Build 3

Just isolated showers possible to start next week on Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be near 60F Monday, then cool into the low 50s Tuesday. Next Wednesday and Thursday are looking dry at this time with a mix of clouds and sun. Temps will be fairly close to average, with highs mainly in the mid 50s.

Have a good evening… and fingers crossed for some needed rainfall overnight! -Bill Graul
