Santa to pull up to 2020 Rotary Lights in new and improved sleigh

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Rotary Lights volunteers are building a big addition to this year’s event.

A 16-foot sleigh is being constructed for the annual light display in La Crosse’s Riverside Park.

In addition to the light display, the sleigh will also be used in parades.

The club is making it built to last by having it fiberglassed, predicting it will hold up for at least 25 to 30 years.

Members say this plan has been in the works for a few years because the Rotary’s original Santa sleigh was donated from Valley View Mall about 18 years ago and is on its last leg.

This new sleigh will be finished in about three to four weeks

You’ll get your first chance to see it when millions of lights are turned on in Riverside Park on November 27th.
