Salvation Army puts in request for “Coats for Kids”

LA CROSSE (WKBT) – From gloves and mittens to warm coats, La Crosse’s Salvation Army is looking for donations.

The Salvation Army is making one final push for its annual “Coats for Kids” event.

These coats will go to children, from newborns to age 18 to help keep them warm for the winter.

According to the Salvation Army, these donations are essential with cold temperatures coming in fast.

“We are looking to support families with kids or even the parents with coats this upcoming season,” said Director of Development, Isaiah Thomas. “It is crucial because we have brutal winters in this area.”

Distribution day is on Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
