Salvation Army in La Crosse to mark Donut Day by supporting fund to help new homeowners
$5,000 donation match supports fund
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – You can help community members while getting breakfast.
Members of Salvation Army of La Crosse County will be at Dunkin’ Donuts on Losey Boulevard Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. to celebrate ‘National Donut Day’ and take Donations will for the ‘Make a House a Home’ fund.
The fund helps support individuals and families who have just secured housing with necessities they cannot afford, like a washer and dryer or cribs and strollers.
If you can’t make it, you can still help.
There is a $5,000 donation match that runs through Friday.
The corps set up a virtual match day site, in addition to the traditional ways of donating in person at corps headquarters at 223 N. Eighth St. in La Crosse, or by mailing a check there or calling (608) 782-6126.
