Salvation Army announces Match Day results
The organization is now almost to the half way point of its fundraising drive
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Salvation Army of La Crosse announced the results from this past weekend’s Match Day Tuesday morning.
Every donation made to a Red Kettle last Saturday was matched by an anonymous donor up to $75,000.
The Salvation Army actually collected more than $86,000 on Match Day meaning a total of $161,000 was donated in a single day.
The Salvation Army is holding another match day this Saturday.
Local businesses will help match all donations made on that day up to $48,000.
The campaign is now almost halfway to their overall goal of $874,000.
