Salvation Army ‘Angel Giving Tree’ begins
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Will you be at the Valley View mall shopping for the holidays in these coming weeks? If so, while you’re there, you can help make a child’s Christmas special.
The Salvation Army of La Crosse is sponsoring its annual Angel Giving Tree at the mall. The tree at is covered in tags with local children in need of presents.
Last year, the tree helped over 1,000 kids receive presents.
Those at the Salvation Army say it is a great chance to make a difference in a child’s life.
“”So people in the community can stop by, grab a tag, and then help make a child’s Christmas wish come true, get them a present to put under their tree. It’s a really nice program to help some of those families in need, especially around Christmas time,” said Nick Ragner, development director at the Salvation Army.
If you would like to come by and grab a tag, you have until Dec. 8th. The presents will be distributed on Dec. 14th.
