Rudy’s Drive-In nearing end of season
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — It’s a sure sign that fall is here and summer is over.
La Crosse’s Rudy’s Drive-In says they’re getting ready to close up shop for the season.
They say they’re starting to run low on some supplies, but expect to be open at least through this weekend before closing early next week.
Nice weather meant business was good for Rudy’s this summer. A couple new menu items added late in the year that were inspired by an old neighbor also proved to be a hit.
“Obviously Beef and Etcetera closed up, Ed retired, so we thought we’d give it a try. There’s not too many places you can get Chicago Dogs or Italian beef, so we thought (we’d) give it a try, see how they sell,” said Justin Smith.
Rudy’s management says will talk this winter about possibly permanently adding the Chicago Dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches to the menu.
