Rotary Lights planning to light up Riverside Park in 2020

La Crosse’s Rotary Lights to start set-up earlier

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Rotary Lights is still making plans to display over 3,000,000 holiday lights at Riverside Park this year.

Rotary Lights Board Member Pat Stephens said, “The board feels the community needs Rotary Lights more this year than ever.”

According to Stephens, organizers would need to modify a few of the activities, such as Santa visits and possibly the entertainment nights, but he feels the traffic flow will work well and most visitors walking through the park are already wearing gloves and some scarves.

The 26th year of Rotary Lights is scheduled to begin November 27, 2020.

The purpose of Rotary Lights is to feed the hungry of the Coulee Region. Its goal is to reach over 4,000,000 items and following the 2019 event, Rotary Lights has collected 3,647,199.
