Rotary Lights honored at first Red Shield Night for efforts to end hunger locally

Efforts to reduce hunger in La Crosse are recognized as a part of National Salvation Army Week.

With the inaugural ‘Red Shield Night,’ the Salvation Army of La Crosse honored Rotary Lights. The group was recognized for collecting more than 3.6 million food items for local food pantries, and providing the annual winter lights display that hundreds of thousands of people enjoy each year.

Salvation Army Week events end Friday night with a family-friendly movie night at the local Salvation Army chapel.
