Rotary Club lighting up Grandad Bluff for the holidays
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A sure sign of the holiday season is going to be standing proudly up on the bluffs. The project, which started on Oct. 1, is almost complete.
La Crosse Rotary is putting up a 50-foot holiday tree on Grandad Bluff, in celebration of 25 years of the Rotary Lights.
Those looking for the best view might want to journey up to the top.
“They’ll probably get more enjoyment out of it coming up on the bluff and actually looking at the tree, over looking at it from the street, because it will be quite the display when they get the thing working properly,” said Terry Slavack, member of the Rotary Club.
The tree will be up until Dec. 28. The Rotary Club plans on making it an annual tradition.
