Roast Beef dinner fundraiser to benefit local school

An annual fundraising event tomorrow will support a local school.

Preparations were underway Friday for Crucifixion School’s 43rd annual roast beef dinner on Saturday.

Volunteers were busy preparing roast beef, along with pumpkin and apple pies.

Money raised at the event will support the school.

More that 1,300 people are expected to attend.

The dinner has fans from more than just the school.

“We do have a lot of the La Crescent community supporting this, people do come in from community to enjoy our dinner, and they come back year after year,” said Rosanne Buehler, chairperson of the Roast Beef dinner at Crucifixion School.

Food will be served from 3:30 to 7:30 at the Crucifixion School on Saturday at South 2nd Street in La Crescent.
