Road construction coming to Hwy 33 and 162

More road construction could be impacting your drive to work.

Starting April 1st, Hwy 33 and 162 will be closed for construction.

Crews will be redoing the seven mile stretch in La Crosse County between Kirschner Road and the Monroe County line.

Segments of Wisconsin Hwy 162 north and south will also have work done at the intersection of Hwy 33  in Middle Ridge. and just west of Newburg Corners.

The project manager says the next few months could be hectic and is asking for drivers to be patient.

“During construction you know the conditions aren’t going to be the greatest even for the property owners getting to their property. They’re going to have to watch for equipment watch for flaggers,” said project manager Brian Meyer.

The work is expected to last through November 15th.
