Riverfest clean-up leads to thoughts of next year
Weather held out for fest-goers, making for a fantastic Riverfest week
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The annual Riverfest celebration goes off without a hitch down at Riverside Park, but now it’s time for clean-up.
About 75 people showed up this morning to help with the tear-down.
Luckily, the weather held out for fest-goers, making for a fantastic Riverfest week. For some of the performances officials say attendance was nearly twice as high as they had expected.
While this year’s fest may still be fresh in their minds, organizers are already beginning to look ahead to next year.
“You know, our planning process is always year round. Our board of directors meets constantly, every month, to go over what we’re planning for next year. Now we start a couple weeks of wrap-up meetings, talk about what was good and what was bad and what should be changed and kind of go from there,” said Riverfest Media Director Nick Bjerke.
Clean-up took about 12 hours.
