Dunn, who has been called a rising star in Nashville, joins other big names at Ashley for the Arts.

ARCADIA —Clare Dunn, deemed to be one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, will be among the featured performers at Ashley for the Arts in Arcadia on Aug. 7.

Dunn, a native of Two Buttes, Colorado, which has a population of less than 50, caught the country music bug when she listened to uninterrupted music in the tractor cab as she helped plow and plant on the family farm.

“That’s where a lot of my creativity came from and where a lot of my vision was forged, was just having nothing else to do other than listen to music and dream all day long in the vast wide open of those plains,” Dunn says.

Also a music writer, is said to be the only female country artist in recent memory to have a hand in all of the writing, arranging and producing for her debut release, the “Clare Dunn EP.”

Touring with country music powerhouse Miranda Lambert, Dunn released a soulful single, “My Love,” in April 2019. She also has several albums in her arsenal.

Other artists scheduled for Ashley for the Arts, Aug. 6-8 at Memorial Park in Arcadia, include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sawyer Brown, Toby Keith, Switchfoot, and Brantley Gilbert, among others.

The annual festival raised $590,000 for nonprofit organizations throughout the area last year alone.

Tickets are $15 now through Aug. 1 and will increase to $25 on Aug. 2. Tickets are available online at http://www.ashleyforthearts.com/tickets/.
